Movable aisle systems provide the most filing capacity in the smallest floor space footprint.

Open shelf file cabinets are mounted on carriages with axle and wheels. The axle connects to a chain or electrical input that enables carriages to be move left or right. Rather than needing many aisles within a system, only one aisle is required with movable aisle systems, thus maximizing floor space utilization.

Electrical systems have the added ability of requiring pin numbers in order to access files, providing security and access controls.
