People
With traditional door-access control systems, a single person can unlock a door, and many people can travel undetected through the door that was opened by someone else. As such, whether at entrance/exits or at internal choke-points, the computer does not accurately know what people are on-facility or where they are within the facility.
With UHF and Active RFID, regardless of who opens a door or if doors have close proximity security systems, all people traveling In or Out are detected and the personnel / visitor computerized database is updated with who is on-facility. If RFID is installed at internal choke-points, then the database will also know where within the facility each person is located.
UHF choke-points and doorways can limit access to and from areas of a facility, including the ability to trigger locks, alarms and video!
