The Government of Tanzania maintains highly sensitive documents relative to their employees that include private, personal information. As the approximate population of 20,000 files continued to expand, it became more and more difficult to maintain the indexing and locations of files, and there were delays in getting needed documents to the staff that needed them when there were needed for task fulfillment.

SmartTraxx records management software was customized the the Tanzanian's specific data, workflow and reporting requirements, including implementation of bar code technology for tracking files. Color-coded side-view labels were pre-printed for approximately 10,000 records, and bar code devices were implemented to track files in and out of circulation. The database now remains updated with file locations, and needed files can be located, right when they are needed.
